The new software update for Oppo A52 can be identified by firmware version CPH2061_11_C.32. It has a download size of about 900MB. To download such a large size package, it is always recommended to have a Wi-Fi connection. Oppo has also added RAM expansion feature in the new update. For those uninitiated, this feature takes some part of the phone’s internal storage to work as RAM. It does not give a major performance boost, but reduces app loading time and allows more processes in the background. It is also known as virtual RAM. To enable it, head to Settings » About phone and then tap on RAM. Notably, the virtual RAM feature is only available to 128GB or higher storage model.
As per the changelog, the update “Fixes an issue where you could not turn on Personal hotspot in some scenarios”. As always, the new OTA update is rolling out in batches. So, it may take few days to reach all the Oppo A52 units. Meanwhile, you can manually check for the latest update by navigating to Settings » Software updates.
